The hands and feet mirror the body. When your practitioner carries out the treatment, they will discuss what they can feel in the feet with you.
By using pressure and massage around a certain point or area, it can disperse the tension and minimise the effects of aches or pain in that location of the body.
Reflexology has commonly been known to help people with:
Stress and tension.
Digestion problems such as IBS.
Muscle aches, back, shoulder and neck pain.
Headaches and migraines.
Sleep disorders.
Hormonal imbalances.
Reflexology is not suitable for everyone. If you have one of the following it is not always advised:
A serious heart condition.
During the first trimester of pregnancy.
Deep vein thrombosis.
Reflexology can be given to children. However, if they are 16 or under then they must be always accompanied by a parent/carer.
